Welcome to our September newsletter and we hope you had a wonderful summer break and are rested and relaxed, ready for the coming months packed with exhibitions and events.
We have had a busy summer, and were delighted by the response we received to the CARAVAN Arts
KAHLIL GIBRAN: A Guide for our Times
Exhibition at Sotheby's, which proved a huge success with visitors and the press. In addition, the ongoing I AM Exhibition continues its tour around the US, opening last week at
Vanderbilt University
, Tennessee, to great acclaim. And coming up, we have an exciting new
JRFA online selling exhibition planned, details of which will follow soon.
In this month's issue of the newsletter, we look at art critics and the important role they play in the artworld. We have a new section on recommended books and our inspiration feature contains a poignant, heartwarming video portrait of the people of Iraq.
Don't forget if you missed or want to reread any previous issues of our newsletters, you can find them archived on the
News
page of our website and featured on our social media platforms.
Enjoy reading and if you received this from a friend, why not sign up for your own copy

Best wishes from all the team at JRFA

If you Google image search “Iraq” looking for photos of anything other than soldiers and war then you're in for some serious scrolling...
Since the spring of 2016, I’ve been traveling back and forth to Iraq working on a longer form doc with Nations Media. The Iraq I’ve come to know and love over the course of these visits is a drastically different place than the version of the country I grew up seeing in the news ...
