As we bid a fond farewell to summer (we hope you had a good one), we are excited about the plethora of events, screenings and new publications awaiting us in September, wherever you are in the world. Within this selection, we are particularly pleased to announce two JFRA artists' exhibitions - Richard Allenby-Pratt and Afsoon & Neda Dana-Haeri .

This month in our Art Matters section, we take an in-depth look at the somewhat controversial issue of Appropriation. And finally, for our Inspiration section, we have chosen a mesmerising video of Ghanaian born dancer Elisabeth Sutherland 's performance.

Until next month, we wish you all the best for September.

SOME INSPIRATION
One of the oldest languages known to man is not categorized by words or sounds, but by movement. Dance has been an intrinsic part of human culture – of rituals, celebrations, births, deaths – since the dawn of civilisation.
