Update: Septic-to-Sewer Project Information

Dear Residents,

We are pleased to share an update on the progress of the Septic-to-Sewer Project as we continue moving through the final phases of work.

Project Schedule & Progress:

Pump Station Electrical Work:

  • Florida Power & Light (FPL) has started the installation of the electrical feed/service connection to the pump station to be completed by March 2nd. The contractor continues to report overall project completion by the end of March, pending final inspections and approvals.
  • Please note that the sides of the pump station will remain exposed up to a maximum of six (6) inches, consistent with project design and requirements.

Landscaping Activities:

  • All Major landscaping has now been completed. While the contractor experienced minor weather-related delays, landscaping work is expected to be completed next week, weather permitting.
  • Next week residents can also expect to see mulch and sod work which is to be completed by the end of next week as reported by the contractor.
  • The City will assess the landscaping upon completion and may supplement plant material if necessary once the project is fully complete.
  • Please note that these updates are reported by the contractor and utility providers and may be adjusted should unforeseen conditions arise.

Additional Project Coordination Notes:

  • The contractor has not yet provided an updated official project schedule through the end of the project. At this time, progress is being tracked through weekly on-site coordination meetings with the contractor.
  • Weekly on-site meetings will continue for the duration of active construction, and updates will be provided to residents until project completion.

As a Reminder:

  • Site cleanliness and safety compliance continue to be closely monitored and enforced.
  • Tree protection measures remain in place during final landscaping and utility work.
  • The City representative has coordinated directly with the resident at the north end of the easement regarding restoration of the driveway and grass in that area.
  • Final easement restoration will begin once all remaining utility and landscaping work is completed.
  • Any damaged or dead grass will be replaced as needed.
