MAIN MESSAGE

Welcome to the new school year, Raven Families!

I hope everyone had a wonderful summer! I am the 2023-24 Sequoia PTSA President, Karen Gebhart. I am excited about everything we have in store for Sequoia this upcoming school year.

One of the hardest things about the middle of August is warming up our engines for the school year to start, both for students and families. So I’ll ease you into it with key dates for you and your families:

  1. Monday, August 14: Sequoia Photo Day for 10-12th graders. By now, you should have received an email from Mr. Gooch with the details. YES, 12th graders take photos even though many will also take senior portraits later.
  2. Monday, August 14: Staff Luncheon to welcome new and returning staff. I am happy to report that our donations and volunteer spots filled up FAST. Wow, Sequoia, you never cease to amaze me!
  3. Tuesday, August 15: Freshman and new student orientation. Click here for all the details. This includes “Sequoia 101” for parents 5-6 p.m. in Carrington Hall
  4. Wednesday, August 16: first day of school. Your student will receive their schedules late Tuesday, via Infinite Campus.
  5. Saturday, August 19: Alumni Picnic
  6. Thursday, August 31: Back to School Night on campus 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  7. Tuesday, September 5: Principal’s Welcome 7-8 p.m. in Carrington Hall

See you out there, and GO RAVENS!
