Appreciating our Sequoia Teachers & Staff

On Friday, Nov. 22, slices of pie were served to the teachers and staff in gratitude for all they do for our community here at Sequoia. It was all thanks to our generous families who donated pies and supplies and worked the event. The Sequoia teachers and staff were delighted to choose from the many delicious pie options and let us know how appreciated they felt.

Curious about IB ESS?

Join us as a chaperone for a science adventure! Sequoia's IB Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS) teachers Ms. Yeung and Mr. Rivera are planning some exciting field work and class projects that will enrich our Sequoia juniors and seniors' experiences in IB ESS. We are looking for field trip chaperones for these fun excursions. No preparation, training, or driving required! Just a friendly, reliable adult is all we need! (Volunteers will need to complete a quick clearance form with the district to participate; it takes only 5-10 minutes.)

Please click this link to find out more and sign up. Thank you!

Gift of Giving: Thank You to Our Donors!

Thanks to your gifts, we’ve raised over $150k toward our $650k goal! This will enable us to fund impactful staff members, including a second college counselor and a mental health counselor, to support our students. We rely on our community’s generosity to raise funds to provide critical programs to all our Ravens.

Help us continue to make an impact by crossing the $250k mark before Dec. 31. Now is also a great time to look for holiday/year-end corporate matching from your employer. This giving season, consider a gift to SHSEF. Donate today.

Raven Holiday Project 2024

Please sign up to help families in need in the Sequoia HS community through our Raven Holiday Project 2024 (formerly "Adopt a Family"). Sign up to donate sweatshirts, gift cards, or an hour or two of your time. We are once again hoping to give gift bags to at least 200 students and their families. Your gifts will help us strengthen the student-school connection. If you want to purchase multiple items, please sign up multiple times—each sign-up is for one sweatshirt or one gift card. Questions? Please contact Ann Kamensky, SHSEF Family Support Chair, at annkamensky@gmail.com or 617-835-9586. Thank you! ¡Gracias!
