MAIN MESSAGE

PTSA Needs You – Step Into Leadership!

As PTSA President, I’ve been honored to serve our school community for the past three years—but my time in this role is coming to an end. I will be stepping down at the end of this school year, and we are now looking for a committed parent to step into the PTSA President role for next year.

The PTSA cannot function without a President, Secretary, and Treasurer—these three roles are essential to keeping our programs and support for the school going strong. The Secretary and Treasurer positions are already filled—we just need someone ready to lead.

Being PTSA President has meant so much to me. It’s given me the chance to work closely with an amazing faculty and staff, and to be more deeply connected to my children’s high school experience. It’s truly been one of the most rewarding parts of my time here.

I will remain on the board to support and train the new President, so you won’t be doing it alone. If you care about our students, want to make a real impact, and are ready to grow into a leadership role, this is your chance.

Please reach out (karendonna@yahoo.com) if you’re interested or want to learn more!

Freshman, Sophomore and Junior Loved Ones: Help Chaperone Grad Night - Friday, June 6th, 2025!

The Class of 2025 is celebrating their Grad Night at Boomers Modesto and we need a team of adult chaperones to help celebrate! Because the Seniors don't want their parents there, we hope you will help.

A few reasons to chaperone:

  • Have an amazing night with your bestie, spouse, or other family!
  • Find out what the hype is all about!
  • Get a preview for when your student is a Senior!
  • Pay it forward!

Depart Sequoia at 9:30pm on Friday June 6th, and return to Sequoia at 4:30am on Saturday, June 7th. Contact sequoiaptsa@gmail.com with questions. Sign Up Here.

SHSEF

Donate to Sequoia’s Prom Closet!

Every year, SHSEF helps the Family Center organize a “Prom Closet” filled with donated formal wear and accessories that students can borrow for the Prom. Students are able to “shop” (for free) for prom dresses, suits, shoes, and accessories. SHSEF and the Sequoia community come together to make sure that Unaliyi means not only a “place of friends,” but also a “prom of friends.” Help support programs that make school events accessible to all of our students. Donate Today!

Showcasing Sequoia Arts!

Spring at Sequoia features art, dance, acting and music by our visual and performing artists (VPA). SHSEF keeps the arts flourishing with instrument purchases and repairs, support for choral classes, A/V equipment for the theater, and supplies for classes that teach drawing, photography, and sculpting. Support our Sequoia artists to share their gifts today and in the future.

Our Spring appeal has begun, and we’re proud to announce that we’ve raised $450k out of our goal of $650k. Help SHSEF reach this goal. Donate today!
