Attorney

Finley brings years of experience serving as law clerk to the Honorable Raymond B. Ray. At Sequor Law, she focuses on asset recovery, federal court litigation - defending and prosecuting actions to collect evidence for use in foreign proceedings - bankruptcy, creditors’ rights litigation, and cross-border insolvency. Of Counsel

Ibrahem serves as the Principal of OKI Law and is of counsel to Sequor Law. He previously served as a Law Clerk to Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman in the Southern District of Florida and prior to his clerkship, Ibrahem was in-house counsel with a Miami Beach hedge fund. Escobar has also been appointed as Vice-Chair of the Inaugural Board Certification Committee for International Litigation and Arbitration by the Florida Bar. Finalists were evaluated by President Elect of the Florida Bar, Michelle Suskauer, who chose Escobar “in recognition of her distinguished career and leadership in the practice of international litigation and arbitration.”

Hosts iLaw Conference

As Chair of the Florida Bar International Law Section, Lacayo hosted the ILS’ annual flagship event, iLaw 2018, attended by the Florida Bar President, Michael J. Higer, and Florida Bar President Elect, Michelle Suskauer, among other legal luminaries. The conference is designed to maximize information sharing of best practices and cutting-edge issues in the field of international law and dispute resolution.

Dan Coyle Breaks

New Legal Ground

As counsel of record for the Foreign Trustee In re: Massa Falida Do Banco Cruzeiro Do Sul S.A., Coyle was instrumental in the first published decision nationwide that a foreign liquidator in a Chapter 15 adversary proceeding may assert US-state-law fraudulent transfer/fraudulent conveyance claims to claw back fraudulent transfers on behalf of the foreign debtor and/or its creditors.

Chilean liquidator in alleged Ponzi case recognized in Australia

An Australian court has become the latest to recognise Chilean liquidation proceedings in what is alleged to be the South American state’s first major Ponzi scheme dismantling, following courts in the US, UK and Isle of Man.
