From April 14-16, Cristina Vicens Beard participated in the American Bar Association International Law Section’s 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting, The Americas and Beyond: Navigating Legal Changes and Challenges. She joined other leading women attorneys, including Clarissa A. Rodriguez, Neha Dagley, and Jacqueline Villalba, to discuss “Keeping a Seat for Gender Diversity at the International Law Table.”

Daniel Coyle, Counsel of Sequor Law, recently authored an article in The Bankruptcy Strategist of the Law Journal Newsletters, titled “Just Say No: Discovery in Chapter 15 Bankruptcies is Asymmetrical”. The article explores the fact that foreign representatives in Chapter 15 petitions are specifically permitted to conduct discovery to locate the debtor’s assets within the United States to increase estate and creditor recoveries in the overseas proceedings and to probe the debtor’s affairs, rights, obligations or liabilities.
