SERMON SYNOPSIS
Many times when we become saved, turn our lives over to God and join the local church we have this false perception that we become immuned to life's issues, problems and challenges. In some cases I have heard people say, their life was going real smooth until they started going to church.
Life is a challenge and people of faith are not immuned to those challenges. In fact, the bible clearly states "many afflictions will come to the righteous, but i will see you through them all." This promise is encouraging to the believers that life storms don't last always. In fact, many of you reading this can testify that it was a storm in your life that help make and mold you to the better, more informed and stronger person you are now.
The Apostle Paul said "in everything count it all joy." Knowing that God will sometimes allow you to go through some unwanted pain only so we can appreciate the coming gain. Gods plan for you is to unleash His favor upon your life in an abundant way. However to much is given, much is required. you are required to do more when God blesses you with more. You may have heard the saying "more money, more problems." In many instances that is a very true statement. When God blesses you with more favor, you will become more noticed. As you become more noticed to your supporters you also become a target to those haters, those filled with jealousy and thieves who wish to take what God has given you.
Some have failed because they surrendered to devils against them as God began to elevate them. Anytime God begins to elevate you, you will have a target on your back for attack. The devil never wants to see you joyous in the favor of God. The devil is a thief and a liar. Never believe the lies of the enemy and never allow him to steal your joy. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Even at your expected weakest hour you will be strong against the enemy when you possess God's joy. This will enable you to overcome and destroy every devil as you approach new levels of life.
