Good day everyone,

I am so thankful that we were able to praise and worship God in-person earlier yesterday and were able to praise and worship God virtually this afternoon. This is a glorious day and a great day to praise and worship God.

This morning, worship was a little bit different. We had an amazing moment of feeling the power and the presence of the Lord and we praised and worshiped God. This took place with a congregational hymn choosing, a surprise visit by Sophie, my newborn, who came this morning for her first worship service, a service of healing, and it all ended with the greatest healing act of all, Holy Communion.

If you were unable to join us and would like to receive a prayer of healing, as we can all use spiritual, mental, physical, or emotional healing from how this year has been, please reach out to me at 407-739-5265. If you know of anyone who could use a prayer of healing, please feel free to have them reach out to me as it is of the utmost importance that we all feel the power, presence, and peace of God during these times.

The Bishop would like to invite everyone to join him in a virtual Bible Study that will take place through November 25. Join Bishop Carter each Wednesday at 6 p.m. through November 25. You'll hear from biblical scholars, share your prayer requests and learn with fellow Methodists from across the Conference. To follow along, download study guide here. See bottom of our website for full details.

Have a blessed day,
Pastor Jeff Taylor

Isaiah 40:28-31

28 Do you not know?
    Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
    and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
    and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5

Praise to the God of All Comfort

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ,so also our comfort abounds through Christ.

Revelation 21:1-4

A New Heaven and a New Earth

21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a]for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b]or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

James 5:14-16

14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
