And let us consider how to lift up one another, to love and good works

Construction Update - Weekend Power Outage

Our construction project is moving along at a quick and successful pace.  We hope you have had time to view our construction camera on our website. We have added a second camera helping to see the entire project as it grows. This camera will be live soon - so much excitement abounds.

At this point in the project, it is time for us to move the SCE (Southern California Edison) power line from one location underground to another, we are grateful this work can be done on a Saturday.

What does this mean for our families:
  • The campus will be closed from 6:00 p.m. on Friday September 22 ( to power down the campus) until 6:00 a.m. Monday, September 25
  • The power will be officially cut off from SCE  for 8-12 hours on Saturday, September 23
  • Our network and filtering for student laptops and iPads are related to this power outage, therefore, students will be unable to link to the internet on school-owned devices on Saturday, September 23 and a portion of Sunday, September 24
  • Students will be able to access any items saved to the students'  hard drive on their new laptops
  • As teachers have stated, there is no homework assigned on the weekends
  • Staff email is Gmail therefore staff continue to be available by email.
We anticipate this work to be complete on Saturday, September 23 and we will take the day Sunday to power-up the campus. No matter the extent of the work on Saturday, we are prepared to power-up on Sunday.

We will send out a notice early Saturday morning September 23 about the power outage as a reminder, and we will send out a second notice on Sunday, September 24 when our campus is powered back up and student devices may be used again.

The app notifications will be helpful for us to communicate to you this weekend in addition to email. Thank you for your understanding and patience in this exciting construction year. We are keeping our eye on the beautiful prize...the blessing of the Chapel and the Blessed Sacrament along with a new and exciting learning environment.
