Stronger together... we lift each other up. We are SERRASTRONG!
And let us consider how to lift up one another, to love and good works
- Hebrews 10:24

The 2018-2019 Annual Fund Appeal launched Tuesday via personal email entitled "We are Full STEAM ahead." I pray each of you will read this email and watch the important video from our students about this year's appeal and how supporting the Annual Fund will help make our student's dreams come true!

This year we look forward to reaching our family participation goal of 100%. That means we are asking EVERY family to make a donation, even if nominal...EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS! Take advantage of all of the fabulous incentives offered this year and help your child's grade level win an ice cream sundae party with me by DONATING  today.

Starts Next Monday, October 22

Red Ribbon/Spirit Week starts next Monday, October 22 and goes until Wednesday, October 31.  CLICK HERE for a full description of the activities and spirit attire for each day.

It is time to start planning the 6th Annual "Seasons" Luncheon, one of our most important events within the St. Serra community that supports our students in need. This year's luncheon will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019!

Volunteers - All skills are needed!  "Many hands make light work", plus most of the volunteer positions can be done from home on your own schedule. So grab a friend and share the JOY.

Committee members and table hostesses are also needed. Our need for hostesses is especially GREAT due to the need to grow this event to support Educational Assistance for so many! If you are a returning hostess, perhaps consider asking a friend to decorate a coordinating table?

New to the SJSC family...  Do you love to decorate and entertain, plan events, or have a marketing background? This event might be just what you are looking for to volunteer your time. You can use your talents and support an amazing cause at the same time. Please consider joining the "Seasons" team. It will be an experience you will never forget! CLICK HERE for more information on how to get involved in this special day.

Have questions? Contact Pam Owens at powens@serraschool.org, 888-1990 ext. 165 or 949-933-2521 (cell) or Event Chair, Elizabeth Yanni at eyanni85@gmail.com.
Please mark your calendars:
October 23, Parent Hub (SCLC) "Seasons" Luncheon Overview and Kickoff Meetings being offered at both 9:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m. to accommodate working families. Attending one of these meetings is mandatory for new hostesses/committee volunteers, but all are welcome!

Your support will bring JOY to many!

'Twelve Women of the Bible'

It's not too late to join our St. Serra Mom's Book Study! Our first meeting was this past Tuesday, BUT sign-ups are still open! The next meetings will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on the following Tuesdays: October 23, 30, and November 6, and Monday, November 12 in the NEW St. Serra Parent Hub.

For more information, please visit our OUTREACH MINISTRIES web page (A Moment in Time for Moms section). Registration fee is $25.00. REGISTER NOW or through our St. Serra App (Parents> PTO Events> Moment in Time).

In an effort to be good financial stewards, we wanted to let you know that going forward, on the occasion that a grade level is off campus on an In-N-Out day, we will not be placing orders for those students off campus. Therefore, we are unable to pass those meals on to another student. This practice will eliminate wasting food & money by St. Serra. We appreciate your support of our operating budget fundraiser.

PE Uniform Update

  • If you are waiting for a backordered PE item, we anticipate delivery of those items the week of October 21
  • Once we have filled all backorders, we will open up ordering to all families who still need to purchase new PE clothing
