ST. VALENTINE HISTORY
As a Catholic school we not only celebrate our love for each other on Valentine's Day, but we also remember the saint for whom the day is named.  CLICK HERE to read more about the history of St. Valentine.
VALENTINES ACCESSORIES FOR ALL
On February 14, to bring JOY to Valentine's Day, students may wear Valentine Accessories, including shirts, sweat shirts, headbands, etc., with their uniform bottoms.
When we choose to be JOYFUL in our hearts, we choose to
see Jesus everywhere and we choose to be sure others do
as well.

Let's all choose JOY so that it lives each and every day.

God is Good All the Time...
All the Time God is Good.

Type to Learn Update
Type to Learn information will be distributed in March.
Seesaw - The Learning Journal

St. Junipero Serra Catholic School is excited to launch an incredible program called Seesaw which allows students to build digital portfolios and document their learning in a safe and engaging way!

Seesaw is an online platform where teachers will create activities for students to post entries that capture the learning process, encou raging students to reflect on their understanding and build 21st century skills.

Every student from Preschool through grade eight will be able to take ownership and pride in their learning, showing what they know, through pictures, video, voice recording, text and more!

If you have not already received an email from your child's ELA, preschool, or TK teacher  inviting you to create an account, please be on the lookout for this email in your  inbox! The email will provide you with a specific class link and directions on how to access your child's digital portfolio journals. Please do not sign up through the website as you will need to do so through this link! Once approved by the teacher, families will be able to connect to their child's journals and see and hear their work! By connecting through the one class, you will have access to all of your child's classes and subject areas.

SJSC is eager to make student thinking visible with Seesaw! Seesaw will be offered as a school-wide program. Some teachers will continue to use ClassDojo in addition to Seesaw.

Feel free to browse the links below for more information.

NATIONAL EVANGELIZATION TEAM (NET) IS COMING TO ST SERRA- HOST FAMILIES NEEDED!

NET Ministries will descend upon the 8th-grade class at St. Serra on  Thursday , February 14 to host their annual grade-level retreat, "Strength in Numbers".

NET is a ministry of young Catholics who love Christ and embrace the life of the Church. Every August, 175 young Catholics ages 18-28 leave behind their jobs, school, family, and friends to devote nine months to serving with the National Evangelization Teams (NET). Next month we are honored to host 12 team members.

We are currently looking for host families who will house these young adults for a two-night stay on Wednesday February 13 and Thursday February 14, for overnight housing and meals. Last year this team led our 6th-grade retreat and stayed with multiple St. Serra families and faculty. We are hopeful you will consider hosting two members of the NET team as they prepare an awesome retreat day for your children. We thank you in advance for considering this opportunity. If you wish to host, please contact Debbie McGee at ext 190 or [email protected].

We know your children will be stronger in their faith as they witness this team proclaim the Gospel of Christ through a personal witness of faith.
