A MESSAGE FROM MRS. TRUDELL
Eighth Grade Prayer Service
Graduation Cap

This past Tuesday  our St. Serra community came together to honor the graduating class of 2019 at our traditional Graduation Prayer Service. Congratulations to this year's St. Junipero Serra Award winners Lonnie L., Audrey S., Tyler S., and Margaret T. The St. Junipero Serra Award is perhaps the most prestigious and coveted award presented at St. Junipero Serra Catholic School because it is given to four graduates selected by their peers. The students receiving this award are chosen because they represent the very finest qualities of a St. Serra student.

We would also like to congratulate this year's valedictorian, Diego D. and salutatorian, Sarah B. Sarah gave her salutatorian speech at the Prayer Service and Diego will give his speech at the Graduation Mass on Friday evening.

We also wish to thank SJSC Alumni Claire Velau ('12) for being our guest speaker and for offering her words of wisdom and inspiration to our graduates.
END-OF-YEAR MASS

Please join us for our End-of-Year Mass on Tuesday, June 18 at 9:30 a.m. in the Student Activity Center.  Formal Uniform is required for all students.

At the conclusion of Mass, we will be commissioning all students in grades 1-7 into their next grade level for the new school year.  We will also honor and acknowledge the hard work and great service of Mr. Jesse Lopez and his entire facilities team. We are so blessed that he and his team will continue to maintain our beautiful St. Serra campus for many years to come.  The students will be dismissed following Mass at approximately  10:45 a.m.  As has been previously published, there is NO afternoon Extended Care on this day, only morning (before school) Extended Care.

Also, as a reminder, parking is available on the inner road and in the neighborhood, but NOT in the Memorial Health Care parking lot.

End of school year blessing (Author Unknown)

May God's blessing go with us today,
At the end of this school year we pray.
That you keep us safe and give us rest
So we start again renewed and refreshed.
Full of health, full of fun
Ready to come and learn again.

May God's blessing go with us today,
As we begin our school holiday.
Give your peace and your joy,
To every girl and every boy.
Help the teachers to enjoy the break,
and prepare and plan for the new intake.

May God's blessings await us next year,
To embrace each new challenge without fear.
Fill this school with your love,
and guide our hearts from above.
Full of faith, full of hope,
full of joy, and full of love.

Amen.
