Donate to the Endowment Fund

Your faithful tithes and offerings to the English District enable us to

continue to be a source of hope and opportunity for people who need

us. Please prayerfully consider joining us in ministry, so that the English

District can continue its work in spreading the message of Christ. The

English District Endowment Fund was established to provide support to

current and new missions and ministries, church workers and seminary

students, and campus ministries in the areas where our congregations live

and witness. Please watch this video to learn more about our Endowment Fund.

Every gift matters. Whatever God leads you to give will be a great blessing

as we all work together to plant new missions and schools, and provide

resources to existing ministries and church workers across the United States, Canada, and around the world.

Mission Outreach at Work in Pittsburgh, PA

On Sunday, November 13, 55 people from First Trinity Church in Pittsburgh, PA and various missions (including campus ministry, deaf mission, blind center, Holy Cross, flute academy, and homeless ministry) enjoyed the annual catered Thanksgiving feast, held a bit early before students go on break. For many of the approximately dozen internationals, it was their first time participating in this very American holiday tradition. In addition to the meal, they shared not only the American roots of the holiday, but also why and to Whom we give thanks. Non-Christian international students and their families were intentionally seated at tables with Christians students and parishioners, to provide opportunity for forming lasting friendships in our Lord, while demonstrating Christian hospitality.

One of the ESL students from Japan emailed earlier this evening: "Thank you for inviting us to your wonderful party today. We had a good time for our first thanksgiving mealI always appreciate it." Another student from Japan texted me: "Hi Pastor Andrae! Thanks for having us today. It was my first experience for me and now it’s one of my precious memory of studying abroad😌 Thanks for all the time giving me a wonderful American cultural experience ✨"

Several of our students - both American and international - might be staying in Pittsburgh over the holiday next week. If you are local, would you also be interested in showing Christian hospitality by hosting one or more students in your home for Thanksgiving, or perhaps an international family?  If so, contact Rev. Eric Andrae as soon as possible and let him know how many people you can host and when you need to know.

News from the Naumanns in the Dominican Republic

We are very grateful for the healing of pastor Jonathan's ligaments and broken leg; and so happy to be back in the DR instead of working remotely from Pennsylvania, where pastor was in physical therapy!
