Dear PEGGY,

November 4, 2022

All Saints Sunday

On Sunday, November 6, we remember all the saints who have gone before us.

For all the saints who from their labors rest,

Connected to Christ Book Review

Many shy away from evangelism, saying, "It’s not for me." Dr. Wood directs us to the words of scripture which read, “You will be my witnesses” Acts 1:8.

The future is now and Mark Woods has a witness for you. Mark has written a short book entitled, “Connected to Christ: Witnessing in Everyday Life.” Consider it Mark’s Small Catechism of Witnessing. He starts by giving the what and why. Great material for short talks about why “you are” to persuade those who maintain that they “aren’t.”

Then he does another twist in his book by using the biblical example of plowing, planting and watering. Just think what all the people could do with all those Bible passages you asked them to learn. Witnessing takes more than fifteen minutes. This gives a picture of the field where these words are planted, watered and nurtured to grow and bear fruit for the harvest. Put all those biblical seeds to use and plant the field.

This is a great booklet that goes along with the training materials “Every One His Witness.” It may be used before going through the training or after.

It is said that a dog is a man's best friend. Then you will learn and take man’s best friend L.A.S.S.I.E with you as you go into the field. It is a tense situation for some say “they were witnesses.” This book helps bring that back to the present tense so that “you are witnesses.”
