2018 Congregation Statistics Report - Online
The congregation online entry system, LCMS Information Support Network (LISN) for congregations, is now open to all LCMS member congregations and new church starts. This past week, LCMS Rosters and Statistics mailed login information to each congregation, noting the adjusted deadline of Friday, March 29, 2019. Initially, only the statistics module will be available for congregations to submit their 2018 year-end statistics. Enhancements to the new statistics entry tool include the following:

  • Submitted data is instantly available to LCMS district offices via District Access to LISN.
  • Congregations may access and download submitted records year-round.
  • Field-level edits assist the user with proper data entry.
  • Instant feedback to users regarding statistics that may need to be reviewed due to extreme changes from prior reports, with options to correct and/or verify.
  • Every field includes a definition of the data being requested.
  • Video tutorials that demonstrate how to use the features of the system and submit data are available.

Please be sure the login information is given to the person in your congregation who is responsible for completing this report. If you have not received your login yet or have questions, please email rosters.stats@lcms.org or call the LCMS Church Information Center at 888-843-5267. This statistical information will be used to calculate congregational assessments. It also assists a wide variety of ministry efforts at the national level, as well as fulfilling the expectation of membership set forth in Bylaw 1.3.4. Thank you for providing this information as soon as possible!

1-1-1 for Missions
Trinity, San Dimas, CA

As one of the newest congregations in the English District, we have been truly blessed by our participation in its mission efforts, especially the 1-1-1 giving. Though we are a very small church, all our members have joyfully responded to the effort, especially our young. We are overjoyed in the stewardship catechesis this provides for them and all our people. We may be tiny, but quite a bit has been raised so far. We are so thankful to have this opportunity to contribute to the greater mission of the church. To God be the glory!

LCMS President Election Voter Registration
Each congregation and parish has already received an  LCMS President Election Voter Registration  form with which to register a pastoral and a lay voter for each congregation or parish.

Attendance at the District Convention is no longer required for a pastor or layperson to serve as an LCMS President Election Voter, since the 2016 Synod Convention eliminated that requirement.

Voter registration forms can only be accepted by the Office of the Synod Secretary until Sunday,  March 24, 2019

If your congregation has lost its registration form, please contact the Office of the Synod Secretary    or phone 314-996-1417 as soon as possible to obtain a replacement form.
Prayer Requests
There is power in prayer. Your prayer concerns are important to the English District. When you submit a prayer request, it will be posted in our weekly eNewsletter, Servant to Servant. The Bible's promise is true: "If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us" (1 John 5:14). Please email  Holly Scheer  with your prayer requests.

The District daily prayers for March are now available on our website. Please join us in prayer.
