Call Process Reminders
For Commissioned Workers/Parish Professionals
All congregations and schools extending a divine call to a rostered commissioned minister must notify the English District office. Please contact the district office when a call has been extended,
accepted, returned or when you
are getting a new, non-rostered worker.

Please keep in mind that all rostered workers must be called, not contracted, even if the position is part-time.

For more information regarding the Call process, or to receive information on obtaining Call documents, please call the English District office at 800-755-9335 or email Evelyn Jentzen or Kathy Stanis.
To assist you in explaining the call process for all commissioned workers you can view the Call Rubrics for Commissioned Ministers . This document helps explain the call process, when to notify the District office, paperwork required to install workers, and many other items.

2018 Congregation Statistics Report - Online
The online entry system for congregations, LCMS Information Support Network (LISN), is now open to all LCMS member congregations and new church starts. Last month, LCMS Rosters and Statistics mailed login information to each congregation, noting the adjusted deadline of Friday, March 29, 2019. Initially, only the statistics module will be available for congregations to submit their 2018 year-end statistics. Enhancements to the new statistics entry tool include the following:

  • Submitted data is instantly available to LCMS district offices via District Access to LISN.
  • Congregations may access and download submitted records year-round.
  • Field-level edits assist the user with proper data entry.
  • Instant feedback to users regarding statistics that may need to be reviewed due to extreme changes from prior reports, with options to correct and/or verify.
  • Every field includes a definition of the data being requested.
  • Video tutorials that demonstrate how to use the features of the system and submit data are available.

Please be sure the login information is given to the person in your congregation who is responsible for completing this report. If you have not received your login yet or have questions, please email or call the LCMS Church Information Center at 888-843-5267. This statistical information will be used to calculate congregational assessments. It also assists a wide variety of ministry efforts at the national level, as well as fulfilling the expectation of membership set forth in Bylaw 1.3.4. Thank you for providing this information as soon as possible!

1-1-1 for Missions
Welcome to the newest member to join 1-1-1:
Christ the King Lutheran Church, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI (Circuit 11), Rev. Randy Boelter.

This brings us to 55 congregations participating in 1-1-1.

Won’t you consider joining us as we support the DRLM and Concordia Lutheran Mission in Myerstown, PA? YOU can support them through your prayers for their ministries to grow as they evangelize to the community around them. Joining 1-1-1 will help our two missions as they continue to witness and as they share their heartfelt faith in Christ.

Currently, the Midwest Region is at 42% with the Eastern Region at 41%. Having Christ the King joining in brings the Lake Erie Region up to 30%. The Western Region has 26% of their congregations participating.

When to Share News on Social Media
It's important to keep regular posts coming across church social media channels, because it keeps them active in member's feeds. How do you decide when to share news instead of just churchly matters? Concordia Technology is tackling this timely topic.
