The Rev. James A. Bretthauer has received a Divine Call to serve as Associate Pastor of Trinity, Klein, TX (Texas District).
The Rev. Aaron D. Wagner (Kansas District) has received a Divine Call to serve as Sole Pastor of St. John’s, Pembroke, ON, Canada.

Members of Philadelphia Lutheran Ministries (PLM) recently employed a new effort to connect with students. They set up a whiteboard that displayed the question "Do Christians rely on blind faith?" As people walked by, they could grab a marker and vote either Yes, No, or I don't know. More often than not, they also stopped and engaged in conversation. These conversations enabled PLM members to share information about services at nearby Logos Lutheran Church.
PLM continues to connect with students even as the school year is coming to an end. Praise God!

Open Hearings of the Convention Floor Committees will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, starting at 7:00 p.m. EDT, with 30 minutes for each committee. (See Convention Schedule for link.)
A New Delegate Orientation will be held via Zoom on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. EDT. (See Convention Schedule for link.)

The English District Convention is quickly approaching and we are seeking prayers for all aspects of the convention: safe travel, the business of the English District, elections, activities, discussions, theological presentations, fellowship and to celebrate the English District’s ministries and missions. Peace, Palm Desert, CA
Members of Peace Lutheran Church of the Desert recently celebrated all the ladies of the congregation. They are so blessed to have so many incredible, faithful, loving women who are all so nurturing and exude the love of Christ...deserving of being spoiled a little bit. Pastor James and Lauren's girls, Bella and Lilia, presented all the ladies with roses and cake. (Even the men had cake!) To God be the glory!

St. Luke, Toronto, ON
Members of St. Luke Lutheran Church were honored to welcome Her Excellency Viera Grigova, Slovakia's Ambassador to Canada, to a recent worship service. Following the service, she presented Rev. Dr. Dusan Toth with a medal in recognition of his life of service to the Slovak people, and the spiritual and cultural well-being of the Slovak people both in Canada and beyond. The ambassador gave a wonderful speech before awarding this medal, and the congregation was overjoyed to celebrate this special occasion with Pastor Toth and their Slovak Fellowship at St. Luke Lutheran.
