1-1-1 for Missions
Called to Serve
I am a member of Lutheran Church of the Prince of Peace, Menomonee Falls, WI, the church that piloted the 1-1-1 initiative. T his giving campaign was the stepping stone of my calling for future deaconess missionary work in foreign countries. Because of 1-1-1, a team of six members from Prince of Peace went to serve our Lord in Hong Kong to teach English to students. It has changed the lives of our members who served in Hong Kong and encourages us and others to step up into missionary work, both domestic and international. The 1-1-1 initiative provided for my first ever mission trip and I have since gone on another mission trip to Africa. Once you start missionary work you just keep on going with the passion to serve our Lord.   – Liz Jentz
Happy Canada Day
to our Canadian brothers and sisters. From the Lutheran Church Canada: Bless, we implore you, O Lord, our nation and people. Defend our liberties and make us faithful citizens of our land. Give wisdom and courage to those who govern us: Elizabeth our Queen, Julie our Governor General, Justin our Prime Minister, and our Premiers, that they would do so with honesty, humility, justice, and diligence, so that we may lead quiet and peaceful lives in all godliness. Lord, in your mercy; hear our prayer.
The English District office will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2019 in observance of Independence Day.
