The first meeting of English District Board of Directors in this new triennium 2022-2025 was held at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Dorr, MI, August 12 - 14, 2022. New Board Chair, Mr. Terry Leu and Vice Chair, Rev. Dr. David Petersen led the meeting.
Our heartfelt thanks to Rev. Ryan Beffrey and the members of Epiphany Lutheran Church for their outstanding hospitality in hosting the meeting.

Congregational Treasurer's Manual |
|
|
The LCMS Congregational Treasurer's Manual is a valuable resource for any church treasurer, no matter their level of expertise. The manual, organized into two volumes, contains six major sections: Employment Issues; Federal and State Tax Matters; Establishing and Administering the Organization; Supporting Organizations; Accounting and Finance; and Insurance.
The manual is available online FREE OF CHARGE and is updated yearly in the fall. Printed copies are only available through the district office and must be preordered. The cost for the printed manual is approximately $10-15, depending on postage and printing costs. If you would like to order a printed copy of the 2022 manual due out later this year, email Peggy Oke or call her at 800-755-9335 ext. 210 no later than August 27, 2022.

On Sunday, August 14, Grace Lutheran Church celebrated 10 years of ministry with Pastor Weldon and Joyce.

On Sunday, August 14, Vacancy Pastor Rev Dr. Roger Ellis received Nancy by Confirmation into membership at Redeemer Lutheran Church. The congregation warmly greeted her with applause following the affirmation of her baptismal faith.

Ascension of Christ, Beverly Hills, MI
Ascension of Christ Lutheran Church walkers are very thankful for everyone who donated to support them for the Walk for Life benefiting Care Net Berkley. Despite the high temperatures, it was a great turnout of around 600 walkers to support area pregnancy centers. Not only did the congregation reach the LCMS Life Ministry match goal of $5,000, but Care Net Berkley was able to exceed their own fundraising goal of $75,000.
