We encourage prostate cancer survivors interested in advancing the progress of prostate cancer research to consider volunteering as a Consumer Reviewer with the Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP) of the Department of Defense (DoD) Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).

The mission of the PCRP is to fund research that will lead to the elimination of death from prostate cancer and enhance the well-being of service members, veterans, and all the men and their families who are experiencing the impact of prostate cancer. Us TOO is pleased to provide a letter of nomination for prospective Consumer Reviewer candidates who will effectively represent the voice of the prostate cancer community as they review the impact of proposed research applications.

Thanks to the efforts of many advocates and organizations, the Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP) has been funded by Congress for more than 20 years; and Congress has again funded the PCRP in the amount of $100 Million for FY2019.

Individuals wishing to serve as a Consumer Reviewer in FY19 are required to submit the following (Individuals who were previously nominated are not required to resubmit any information) :

  • The electronic nomination form (CLICK HERE), to be completed and sent by the nominee
  • A current resume to be sent by the nominee
  • A letter of nomination, from your organization (Us TOO), describing the nominee’s advocacy work and potential to represent the prostate cancer community’s voice. This letter will be sent directly from Us TOO.

Please send nomination materials to me at no later than Monday, May 20. I will provide a letter of nomination and forward all nomination materials to General Dynamics Information Technology on behalf of the Department of Defense. Thank You!
Best regards,
