What an exciting list of activities we have planned for the month of July!
First up, on Saturday July 7th we'll be sending a small group of volunteers to the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen in South San Francisco to put the Gospel into action! The sign-up sheet for this event is closed, but look forward to more events like this in the near future!
Saturday July 21st marks the official launch for Catholic Underground Bay Area! Never heard of it? Come give it a try! Heard of it and think it sounds lame? Come anyway! You won't regret it. (Christina Sullivan will buy you a beer if you don't like it!) If an evening of eucharistic adoration and prayer led by guitar-slinging Franciscan Friars doesn't pique your interest, then how about a social hour (with food!) featuring a local Catholic musical artist? And to sweeten the pot, this event is completely FREE! If you haven't given Catholic Underground a try, this is your chance! It's going to be awesome, and beautiful, and moving, and fun--all wrapped up into one event. You don't get much better than that, folks.
Finally, get ready for our first Theology on Tap series which will kick off on Sunday July 22nd. What better way to spend a Sunday evening than by sharing a pint with your Bishop talking about God?? This is exciting stuff--details to follow.

Lace up your shoes, get your team back together from your CYO Days and come out and have a little fun! The mission of the CYO Adult Athletics is to provide an opportunity for adults in the Archdiocese of San Francisco to meet new people, build community and put into practice the Christian values of respect, love, and compassion through athletics and fellowship. CYO Athletics is starting two co-ed basketball leagues-advanced and intermediate-this summer. Games will take place on Sundays between June 24- August 5. For more information, please contact fellow young adult, Anne Stricherz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Of course, as this Wednesday marks the 4th of July, we pray you all have a safe and happy Independence Day celebration. Remember to take a moment this week to sincerely thank each and every one of our military service members who, whether here or abroad, fight every day for our freedoms. And don't forget that "freedom" is most definitely not "free."
Peace and Blessings from your Young Adult Leadership Team,
Christina Bellino Sullivan, Courtney O'Hagan, Paul Boyer, Greg Sirotek, and Jonas Malalang.

Join us after the 5:15 Mass for our very first Theology on Tap!
