Dear Class of 2026 & Class of 2027 Families,

The following email was sent to all Class of 2026 and Class of 2027 students in regard to the Mercy service experience and requirement.

Make a difference this summer and volunteer! Throughout the year, Mercy works with various organizations to share our gifts and talents in service to others. The list here is a wonderful resource for various service opportunities in the Metro Detroit area.

For the Classes of 2026 and 2027, the service requirement to graduate is 40 hours of direct service in a non-profit organization (up to 8 of these hours can be non-required in-school service).

You can check your service record by logging into Mobile Serve using your Google student sign-in. Click on “all time” under your hours to see the number of hours you have earned. If you think you are missing hours, look at your activity log to see where you have logged hour.

Watch this video if you would like additional information about the service program. View this quick tutorial for Mobile Serve if you would like information on how to log and check your hours.

If you have questions regarding volunteer opportunities, please reach out to me at hbennetts@mhsmi.org

Sincerely,

Holly Markiecki-Bennetts
