Library Services Update

The building may be closed, but your access is still open! Your Librarians are hard at work curating new content and planning virtual programs to sate your intellectual curiosity.

Keep reading for info on this week's newly curated content and updates to existing services. Have questions about these or other services, need a library card, or just need to connect? Don't hesitate to reach out!

Remember that overdue fines will continue to be waived until further notice and that our 3 book drops are open for returns. Library kits should be returned by calling the library at 603-424-5021 (ext 101  or 102) during our operating hours .
Museum Passes Now Available!

The Library is delighted to resume our Museum Pass lending for Merrimack Library cardholders! Passes are currently available for the following museums:

  • Boston Children's Museum
  • Canterbury Shaker Village
  • Currier Museum of Art
  • Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
  • Manchester Historic Association Millyard Museum
  • McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center
  • New England Aquarium
  • Seacoast Science Center

Due to current social distancing protocols, most museums are requiring a reservation in addition to the Library passes. Please call the museum after reserving a Library pass to secure your time slot.

The Library's Community Book Club is open to all! Join our reference librarians and your fellow residents on the last Wednesday of each month for a lively discussion.
Virtual Author Visit With Katherine Arden

6:00pm-7:00pm

Author Katherine Arden will visit Merrimack remotely via Zoom this Thursday! Katherine is the author of the popular adult fiction trilogy The Winternight , and a 2019-2020 Great Stone Face nominee for her Small Spaces and Dead Voices titles for middle-grade readers.

Resident Fast Facts

Merrimack Parks and Rec is hiring additional staff to ensure Wasserman Park Beach is used only by town residents and their guests.

The Merrimack Village District Water Works has eased the watering restriction to level 1. Outdoor watering is now permitted between the hours of 5:00am and 8:00am on ODD/EVEN days. Click HERE for more information.

The UNH Cooperative Extension's STEM Docent Program will present a virtual wrap up of their Stream Safari on Wednesday, July 29th, at 10:00am and 7:00pm.
