Library Services Update

The Library may be closed, but your access is still open! Your Librarians are hard at work curating new content and planning virtual programs to sate your intellectual curiosity.

Keep reading for info on this week's newly curated content and updates to existing services. Have questions about these or other services, need a library card, or just need to connect? Don't hesitate to reach out!

Remember that overdue fines will continue to be waived until further notice and that our 3 book drops (2 in the Library parking lot; 1 at the fire station on Naticook Road) are open for returns. Library kits should be returned by calling the library at 603-424-5021 (ext 101 or 102) during our operating hours.
Library Catalog Update

Our online Library catalog will soon be updated to apply the following improvements:
  • New titles have been broken out by category and format! Simply click "New Titles @ MPL" to browse our most recent collection additions
  • The "I want to read..." section has been reinstated with brand new topics for adults and teens
  • And more!

​The Library's Community Book Club is open to all! Join our reference librarians and your fellow residents on the last Wednesday of each month for a lively discussion. 
Circulation Reminders

Due to the current procedures agreed upon by GMILCS member libraries, all returned items are being quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours and will remain on your account until after such time has passed. Rest assured that no fines will accrue on your account during this time.

Curbside pickup appointments are currently set 5 minutes apart to allow users time to pick up items while social distancing. Please remain respectful of others' personal space when picking up items via our curbside pick-up service.

Resident Fast Facts

The Merrimack School District shared their PowerPoint presentations from the School Board meeting this past Wednesday, August 19th. Presentations include the MHS reopening plan and updates to curriculum, instruction, and special education.

The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Summer Concert Series wraps up with a rescheduled performance! Whiskey Horse, an outlaw country cover band, will perform this Wednesday, August 26th, at 6:00pm in Abbie Griffin Park.

The Supervisors of the Checklist for the Town of Merrimack will be holding a Voter Registration session at Merrimack Town Hall on Wednesday, September 2nd, at 7:00pm. This will be the last time to make changes to your registration before the September 8th State primary.
