Library Services Update

The Library may be closed, but your access is still open! Your Librarians are hard at work curating new content and planning virtual programs to sate your intellectual curiosity.

Keep reading for info on this week's newly curated content and updates to existing services. Have questions about these or other services, need a library card, or just need to connect? Don't hesitate to reach out!

Remember that overdue fines will continue to be waived until further notice and that our 3 book drops are open for returns. Library kits should be returned by calling the library at 603-424-5021 (ext 101 or 102) during our operating hours.
Book Sale & Donations Update

The Library is unable to accept book and media donations at this time. Please refrain from placing any non-Library items in our book drops and hold onto your donations for the time being.

The upcoming Friends of the Merrimack Public Library Book Sale, originally slated for September, has regretfully been cancelled.

August's book: Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain, available on cloudLibrary , OverDrive, and in print via curbside pick-up!

Selected titles cover a variety of topics that are of interest to business people, including leadership, finance, hiring, and strategic planning. This will also be a great opportunity to network with fellow business leaders.

Join us at Abbie Griffin Park to celebrate a summer full of reading! Find out if we met our 8,000-hour community reading goal to support the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, and enjoy great music by fan-favorite musician Steve Blunt! 

This family program is presented in partnership with the Merrimack Parks & Recreation department.

The Town of Merrimack is accepting applications for a full-time Mechanic II to work in the Department of Public Works - Equipment Maintenance Division.

State officials announced this past Thursday, August 6th, that New Hampshire will begin ramping down its use of fixed COVID-19 testing sites in favor of testing at hospitals, pharmacies, and urgent care centers. Remember that COVID-19 testing is currently available to all Granite Staters regardless of insurance status.

Governor Sununu endorsed the law enforcement training reform recommendations set forth by the New Hampshire Commission on Law Enforcement Accountability, Community, and Transparency (LEACT) this past Tuesday, August 4th.
