Join us May 17, 2020 - 10:15 am
for our Sunday Worship Service
I don't know about you, but this time of quarantine has certainly given me a lot of time to think, reflect, and take notice of my life and our greater world, in a different way. In fact, it's helped me to see what is possible, that I had previously thought not possible. This Sunday's worship is oriented toward helping us imagine a new world -- one in which we might learn from our mistakes, change our lives and create something better for all people, just as God intends.
The sermon title is "Repent." It is based on Acts 17:22-31. You can read the text in advance
can also access the worship bulletin b
. I think you will continue to enjoy seeing some unexpected faces helping lead worship this week.
As always, you will tune into worship by going to our Sandy Springs Christian Church YouTube Page
. At app
roximately 10:15 am, this week's worship will appear with the corresponding date for this Sunday, May 17, 2020.
Here are some reminders to help you prepare for worship.
- Light a candle with me. The light is a reminder to us that no matter where we are, the God we know through the life of Jesus is present.
- Have some bread and juice on hand for communion. It doesn't need to be fancy. Even though we are apart, let's allow sharing the bread of life and the cup of love to bring us together!
- Don't forget your tithes and offerings. We continue to give of ourselves to God because God has given so much to us. There are several ways you can continue to support the ministry of Sandy Springs Christian Church. You can set up automatic ACH withdrawals with your bank, you can give online by clicking here, or send checks through the mail to the church address.
We are moving our zoom virtual coffee hour to the FIRST Sunday of the month, after worship beginning at 11:00 am! Our next meeting will be on June 7th, please join us then.
If you have any questions in advance of Sunday morning, just send myself or Amy Frost an email. We will try and help. I pray each of you are safe and well and I look forward to sharing with you in a time of worship!
