Mark 12:31 says, The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." Our Friends, Relatives, Acquaintances, and Neighbors are a part of this community and they need our help.
Andersonians there is nothing we can’t do.
Here are ways that AUMC is impacting the lives of the people in our city. Here are specific areas where God has led us to help those around us.
Portable Water: If you or your loved one are in need of portable drinking water please bring a container on Friday, Sept. 2 starting at 9 am to receive water, while supplies last.
Water Distribution Location: Anderson’s parking lot will be utilized as a distribution location with the help of local organizations and community partners we will distribute water at Anderson on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 10 am and at 5 pm.
Volunteers: We are expecting pallets of water to arrive on Tuesday, Sept. 6, and we will need assistance unloading and sorting. We do not have an arrival time yet.
Donate: We have been asked countless times how can we help! If you would like to donate water you would like to give, contact Pastor Henry at 601.982.3997 for more information.
Continue to pray for our city, the leadership, and all of those affected by the water crisis. Also as a body, we continue to pray the Lord may bless us to be a vessel for others. Come on and go to heaven with me, and let’s show our love to our neighbors.
