That's why I’ve been working to upgrade telehealth services by removing barriers to care, expanding capabilities for providers and promoting accessibility. Sadly, 1 in 5 women will suffer from a maternal mental health condition such as postpartum depression or anxiety. 50% will never receive treatment, and maternal mortality, suicide and overdose remain the leading causes of death for new mothers in the United States.

As mother of four, I am familiar with the struggles new mothers often face. That is why I’m proud to join a bipartisan effort with Reps. Nanette Diaz Barragán, Rep. Californians in our district and across the state have seen the devastating impacts of wildfires, and these effects are made worse with 85% of our state in extreme drought.

Californians pay high state and local taxes while contending with skyrocketing housing costs, with the median price of a single-family home costing $800k+. It is great news that our community is moving forward with a veteran’s cemetery in Anaheim Hills. Building a veteran’s cemetery in Orange County to honor the veterans who have served our country has been an issue close to my heart and a priority of mine since my time in the State Assembly.

As a wife and sister to veterans, I understand the courage and sacrifice of those who serve our country. I look forward to working with officials at every level and community organizations to make sure we see a completed Orange County Veterans Cemetery.

My team was overjoyed to join the City of La Habra for their special dedication and ribbon-cutting of the Splash Pad at Brio Park. The Splash Pad projects in La Habra will surely be an excellent addition for kids in our community. More information can be found here.

I've heard from employers in our community that they're not only having difficulty finding workers, but finding the right workers for the right jobs. The COVID-19 pandemic took 4 million lives, including 600,000 in the United States. It took the life of my mother-in-law, as well as the loved ones of many of my constituents in the our CA-39 community.

As we hear of the new Delta variant, I know I am not alone in wanting answers regarding the origins of COVID-19. This is a public health issue, an economic issue and a national security issue, that as we saw over the past year, will impact each of us. I will do all I can to get to the truth so we can prevent another pandemic.

The men and women of our U.S. Navy have defended our shores for more than 245 years. I appreciate Lieutenant Joel Robbins, Captain Matt Schnappauf and Commander Vance Scott stopping by to drop off a seal for my DC office! I will display it proudly.

I hope everyone in CA-39 has an amazing 4th of July! As someone who came to this country from South Korea as a young girl, put myself through school, ran a small business, had a career, raised a family and now is serving the community I’ve called home for decades as a member of Congress, I have a special appreciation for America and the freedom and opportunities that this great country provides. Learning STEM skills will help create opportunities for students, grow our workforce, strengthen our future economy and boost U.S. competitiveness abroad.

I encourage all of our middle and high school students across the district to challenge their STEM abilities by participating in this year’s CA-39 Congressional App Challenge, which officially launched on June 24.
