What an incredible summer it has been so far!  We have been busy with our wonderful Summer 2017 Teacher and Administrator Certification Cohorts, learning and growing together.  Here is a photo of this latest group:

With the quick approach of the Fall semester there are always new employment opportunity postings on the Seton website, new teaching credentials being awarded and some new applicants preparing to begin one of our Paraprofessional Courses.   All you need to know about these updates is included in the pages below.

Seton Montessori Institute will be well represented abroad in the next few weeks. Several of our faculty, including Jennifer Nolan, Rosemary Quaranta and me, Anna Perry, will be participating in the International Montessori Congress being held in Prague, Czech Republic, from July 27 - 30th.  In early August, several of us will be presenting in Slovenia with the Montessori Institut in Ljubljana.  And in early September, Anna and Celma Pinho Perry will be presenting and participating at the Organization Montessori Brasil.   If you are going too and are interested in meeting with us at any of these events, please email Institute@SetonMontessori.org to be in touch!

Attend the Paraprofessional Course

Seton Montessori Institute's Paraprofessional Course provides a broad foundation in  Montessori philosophy, educational techniques and classroom practice, geared for those who are involved with serving the needs of children at home or professionally. 

The Paraprofessional Course covers all the basics of the Montessori approach and is hosted at our Clarendon Hills Lab School campus.  The course is four days in length, with a fifth day for those registered for the Administrators Track. Students are asked for full attendance and the completion of an assignment in order to receive a certificate.
Upcoming Paraprofessional Preparation Course Dates:

July 31, August 1, 2, 3, 2017 (Monday - Thursday with a focus on the role of the assistant in Infant & Toddler and Early Childhood environments as a combined session)
September 21 - 24, 2017 (Thursday - Sunday with a focus on the role of the assistant in Early Childhood and Elementary environments as a combined session)
Course Cost: $300

Administrator Track Paraprofessional Preparation Course 
September 20-24, 2017 (Wednesday - Sunday)
Course Cost: $500
