Delaware State Chamber Members:

Good afternoon! If we haven't yet met, please don't hesitate to reach out, or find me at a Chamber event. As DSCC's new President, I hope to share regular updates with you via emails like this as we move forward.

Chamber Update
I wanted to share with you that we are starting work on our 2019-2020 Policy Agenda, which will be the focus of our efforts as we meet with the Governor and his Cabinet, and the 150th General Assembly. If you have legislative or regulatory concerns, please bring them to our attention. To this end, several other chambers of commerce from around the state gathered last week to discuss the importance of a unified business agenda. I am working with other business organizations and will loop them into this process to continue efforts in making Delaware a better place to live, work and do business.

News You can Use
Speaking of business, MarketWatch reported today that retail sales were positive and strong. Look for other economic data later this week, including industrial production, housing starts and building permits, and numbers from the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.

DSCC Events
As a reminder, our Superstars in Business Awards program is accepting applications and nominations through August 16. If you think your business is worthy of Superstar status, visit www.dscc.com/superstarsinbusiness to apply.

We also have several great events planned and hope you can join us:
