Pledges for 2023

If you have not yet turned in your pledge for 2023, please do so as soon as possible so we can finalize our budget for the next year. Pledge cards are available on the Welcome Carts in the Lobby and Atrium, or you can make your pledge by visiting http://nrumc.org/keep-planting/.

Please note, 11:00 is the correct time for the second service, this is a change from our usual Sunday schedule.

Angel Tree

Every year, NRUMC partners with Angel Tree, which provides Christmas gifts to children on behalf of incarcerated parents. All gifts should be WRAPPED and returned by Sunday, December 11, and then they will be delivered on Saturday, December 17. Questions, email Barbara Bays at [email protected].

Angel Tree is also in need of 9 families/adult volunteers to help deliver the gifts on December 17. If you would like to help, CLICK HERE to sign up.

If you are interested in another way to help the prison ministry, the Durham County Criminal Justice Resource Center is in desperate need of jeans, all shapes, all sizes. If you have any you could donate please drop them off at the front desk of the Durham County Criminal Justice Resource Center, 326 East Main Street or drop them by the church office.

You're Invited! Bring a friend, food to share, and a gift to donate and join us in the fellowship hall on Saturday, December 11th for our Youth Christmas Party.

-6th and 7th Grade: Bring a dessert

-8th and 9th Grade: Bring an entrée

-10th and 11th Grade: Bring a side

-All: Bring a toy to donate for Toys for Tots in support of the Chris Groom memorial fund and spread cheer this Christmas!

Communion Servers Needed

We are in need of 48 Communion servers for Christmas Eve and we have plenty of availability for 2023! There are no special qualifications needed and no experience necessary. If you have questions or are brand new and just not sure, please email Lisa Mooneyham at [email protected].

Our Nursery Is Hiring!

We are in need of an additional childcare provider for our Nursery Staff. Times are as follows:

Fridays, 9:15 - 11:45 a.m.

Sundays, 8:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Availability for occasional Sunday and Thursday evenings would be a plus. Training in CPR/First Aid is preferred but not required (training can be provided). Age 16 and up only. Start date is January 20, 2023!
