Children's Ministry

Worship Bags for Children Are Back!
It has been wonderful to see children back in worship. The worship bags for children have been back for a few Sundays now, and are available in the main lobby. They are now prepared for one-time use, with a box of crayons, blank paper, pipe cleaners, and a worship notes card. The card gives children a place to write five words they hear in the sermon, and to listen for a name they might hear the pastor share during the message. We welcome all children to grab a worship bag for the service! If you need help locating the worship bags, you may ask an usher or staff member.

Children's Message Returns October 3
Beginning October 3, children may once again come forward to the altar for the children's message during the 11:15 worship service. Because we are live-streaming this service, the children will be asked to sit on the floor facing the altar. When the children's message is over, children age 3 and younger may go the nursery, and 4-year-olds and older may stay in worship. Don't forget to grab a worship bag before you come in!
Social Justice Committee
We have a new committee here at NRUMC. Join Peter, chair of our Social Justice Committee, as he introduces what the committee is all about. We are looking forward to this team diving into the United Methodist Book of Discipline and the social principles found inside.
Welcome NCCUMC Bishop Leonard Fairley!

On September 19, the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church welcomed Bishop Leonard Fairley as our interim Bishop.

Click Here to view a recording of the welcome event, featuring an interview of Bishop Fairley, as well as a message from the Bishop and a Q&A time.
