Seven RCSD Employees Recognized as Educators of the Year
The Rochester City School District is proud to recognize seven of its employees as Educators of the Year. The first annual Educator of the Year Awards ceremony will be held virtually on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 starting at 4 p.m. and can be viewed live on the District’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

The Office of Human Capital kicked off the initiative this year to recognize excellence within the District. The initiative honors staff members who exceeded expectations and provided meaningful and supportive teaching and learning experiences for students in the District.

The following individuals were recognized in specific categories:
Dave Passero, Principal at Northeast College High School, Building Leader Educator of the Year
Kelly Mulvehill, Special Educator Teacher at Anna Murray-Douglass School No. 12, Elementary Educator of the Year
Matthew Fusco, English Teacher at School of the Arts, Secondary Educator of the Year
Zachary Arenz, Music Teacher at The Flower City School No. 54, Special Subject Educator of the Year
Phyllis Siembor, Paraprofessional at Rochester Early Childhood Education Center (RECEC), Support Staff Educator of the Year
Stacie Darbey, Coordinator of Environmental Safety, Team/Duo Educator of the Year
Erin Graupman, District Coordinator of Student Health Services, Team/Duo Educator of the Year
Zachary Arenz will now be eligible to enter into New York State and national competitions for Educator of the Year. Please join us in congratulating all of these employees.
