According to the National Weather Service in Wichita, scattered severe storms are expected to develop this evening, mainly along and east of the Kansas Turnpike. Storms are likely to begin after 7:00 PM and move eastward through the evening hours.


Prepare for the possibility of:

  • Hail up to the size of golf balls
  • Wind gusts up to 60 mph
  • Locally heavy rainfall
  • A brief tornado cannot be ruled out


The most widespread activity is expected to occur across southeast Kansas, but Saline County remains in the potential impact area.
