Meet our new “#OriginateNow” Seal-of-Approval.
You’re invited to share your latest origination, be it a recipe you concocted, a painting you’ve completed or a sweater you’ve knitted. Here’s to Originating Now!
We’re always speaking with people about, among other things, the challenges of running a business in today’s world. We deep-dive into subjects like the changing way people shop, how we buy and, closer to home, how our market place is not like it was when we started out years ago.
Many times these conversations devolve into overlapped plaintive wails soon punctuated by a self-aware, protracted silence. It can be a sore subject.
Of course things change, it’s vital for us to stay
alive. So, speaking for the Originators, we choose to focus on rolling with, and adjusting to, change. We embrace being flexible and acclimating; it’s vital for us to stay survive. We can talk endlessly about the devaluation of design and intellectual property, a lack of loyalty and a shrinking price point but that’s too ‘victim’ for us and counter to our very name and mission…we’re Originators, so let’s originate!
|
|
As a small, agile company, our lifeblood is to keep originating products, materials and approaches that reflect our client’s needs and consider the new ways of shopping and promotion. We work hard to make our presence and approach known and research the places where we’ll
meet
you, where you’re more likely to shop.
We focus on continually offering fresh and new, visually alluring designs and solutions for a wide array of applications.
To help reinforce this proactive stance, we’re introducing our “#OriginateNow” Seal-of-Approval, above, and invite you to share your latest
origination
, be it a recipe you concocted, a painting you’ve completed or a sweater you’ve knitted. And we encourage sharing your perspectives on the way people shop, how we buy and what you’re doing to Originate Now!
We look forward to featuring you in our next edition.
Till then, enjoy your summer!

iHeart Media – JEEP Activation – the MAZE The Challenge – 4 hours to install a 45’ square MAZE behind the Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach. Like any successful production, it’s all about pre-production and the master orchestrator, Joy Hom of iHatch.IM, made sure everything from engineering certificates to beach permits were accounted for when Debra hit the beach at 5am. Leading a team of 20 from Galaxy Productions onto the windy beach, they were charged to assemble a series of truss towers that supported over 44 colorful 20’,15’ and 10’ wide x 10’h stretch-fabric structures that formed the amazing maze.

Atmospherics – for Invision and Veritas An entryway into a conference afforded the perfect spot to transform the space into an immersive environment. A walk-through-the-clouds transitioned guests from their realities into the world of Veritas, the data management company. Ben Roth of Invision riffed on our newest scenic element, the Atmospherics collection, to come up with their custom-sized and shaped group of Wisps. They were relieved to know that by using Atmospherics they wouldn’t need expensive printing of clouds to convey this fantasy walk. It’s the structure’s unique laser-cut shapes and repetition of form that gives it its unforgettable presence.

Museum of Jewish Heritage
The world of museums is highly competitive. To stand out and look hip and current can be a challenge when integrating ever-changing exhibits into the original architectural look of the space. The Museum’s new president has made a mission of updating the interior and selected New York design studio
Pure+Applied to incorporate the new look. The first opportunity would be to cover some of the wood paneling that adorns some of the museum’s walls. Beginning with the 3rd Floor Gallery entrance wall, we transformed it into a high-impact, floor-to-ceiling graphic with a large-scale Silicone-Edge-Graphic whose frame was erected independently, in front of the traditional wood wall. This created its own engineering challenges but was critical to the scope of the job…to allow for the original walls to be exposed in the future without having been marred by the building of the graphical wall. The SEG solution was manufactured by
Elevation Point and installed by
the Originators.
