Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women

We know it is happening. Yet, we often hear the phrase... "But it's not happening here."

The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) is proud to offer a 2-day training seminar. Bringing in national trainers, CSVANW is proud to present a 2-day seminar that will address the holistic approaches to identifying, responding to and building a greater understanding of trafficking in our tribal communities.

This seminar is intended for tribal, state and federal advocates, service providers, criminal justice professionals and leadership working in our New Mexico tribal communities.

This seminar will serve to enhance attendees' understanding of what sex trafficking looks like in tribal communities, the dynamics of sex trafficking, how to identify trafficking and what's being done to address the problem. The training will include in-depth discussions of effective strategies for identifying and responding to our Native women and children who are being trafficked in our communities.

Attendees will explore ways to improve response and coordination at the tribal, state and federal level.
