Kavvanah of the Week
This year we are exploring kavvanot - short orientations or intentions that reflect the part of ourselves that we bring to a particular moment.

Kavvanot can be used for moments and actions of any size and significance.

This week, a kavvanah for a time of waiting:
I am waiting
and watching

like those watchmen in the psalm
waiting for the morning
waiting for the morning.

There is nothing to do but wait.

I remind myself:
these moments are precious.

May I live in them fully
may I not waste them
by putting them down as a deposit on the future.

and when they end
may I live fully also
may I find courage and stability
within whatever is waiting for me
whatever it may be.

May this be so.

What is your own kavvanah for the week that is coming?
