Cleveland Browns fans got a breath of fresh air to briefly clear away the stench that is the Deshaun Watson deal. Pop the champagne. Former team owner Art Modell did not get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Many believe he should never be inducted in the coach/contributor category because he moved the beloved Browns to Baltimore after the 1995 season. Does time heal all wounds? I wish that were true, but in this case, we’re talking about an amputation. columbusjewishnews.com

Apple pie is a signature fall treat, but it can be so time consuming to prepare. This semi-homemade treat makes use of a prepackaged dough for a fast rollout and a treat that's ready in minutes versus hours. You can also swap out the butter in the recipe for a margarine of your choice. If your kids are old enough, let them "pop" the dough container. They can also help with rolling out the dough, brushing the margarine or butter on, and adding the filling. bettercookies.wordpress.com

It’s people who make up society itself. columbusjewishnews.com
Today’s elementary schools offer many options after classes have ended for the day as students are able to play, learn and socialize at a variety of after-school programs, from sports to drama club and beyond. These programs can provide more than simply a diversion for students. They’re opportunities for children to continue to enrich themselves, even after the last bell has rung for the day. columbusjewishnews.com
I hadn’t heard of “quiet quitting” until about 10 minutes ago. Since then every major news outlet has done a story on this purported trend, defined as a movement among office workers to draw firmer work-life boundaries by doing less work. It means closing your laptop at 5 p.m. when your cubicle-mate is staying late to finish a project. It means turning off notifications on your phone so you can’t check your work emails after hours. It can mean doing the bare minimum and still hanging onto your job. On a grander scale, it means cooling your hottest ambitions in favor of a saner work-life balance. Of course, to a certain kind of devotee of the attention economy, this sounds like nothing less than slacking off. jta.org

Do modern Jewish baby names even exist? While acknowledging the fact that many Jewish names have roots in ancient times, the list of popular baby names from the United States Social Security Administration website is telling. Plenty of Jewish names, traditional and otherwise, are pretty popular in our current times, which means that they are, in fact, modern. kveller.com
