We are dedicated to offering eight events to light up your celebration (see blurbs below for details)

  1. Beit Sefer students and parents Chanukah concert 
  2. Young Family Chanukah concert
  3. Beit Sefer Social Justice Project
  4. Dedication of TJM Courtyard and Temple Menorah Lobby
  5. Shabbat Chanukah services (come ‘oily’ for the best seats!)
  6. Chanukah production featuring Fleetwood Jourdain Theater Company
  7. Shabbat dinner with latkes and tater tots
  8. Spicy, Sweet or Savory: Competition for best side dishes

And YOU are the shamash that adds light to each of these. Together we shine!

Our Beit Sefer students will participate in a Chanukah concert featuring Cantor Cotler and Storyteller Marilyn Price. All Beit Sefer parents are encouraged to attend.

Annual Chanukah Concert for Young Families

Our favorite Chanukah concert is back! Once again, featuring Cantor Cotler and Aimee Leigh. This year, we have a special guest: Storyteller Marilyn Price. This is perfect for families with children in Kindergarten and younger. Grandparents are encouraged to attend! Advanced registration requested. $10/household

Want to receive lifecycle notices for all births, weddings & death announcements?  

You can sign up for the mailing list through MyBethEmet (our member portal) on your individual page or contact Bekki Kaplan.

Consider making a donation to Beth Emet in honor, or in memory, of a friend or a loved one. You can do so online or contact the office. Families will be notified of your contribution.

Dedication of the Temple Menorah Lobby and TJM Courtyard

6:00 pm | In-Person

With the mergers of Temple Menorah and Temple Judea Mizpah with Beth Emet in 2018, we will dedicate the Temple Menorah Lobby and the TJM Courtyard, in keeping with the theme of dedication for Chanukah. Celebrate this important moment in the life of the Congregation.

Kabbalat Shabbat Services: A Chanukah Story Featuring Actors from the Fleetwood Jourdain Theater Company

6:30 pm | In-Person and Virtual on Zoom

Celebrate Chanukah as a community, complete with lighting candles and a music-filled Chanukah worship service. We’re excited to continue the tradition of welcoming actors from the Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre Company to perform a Chanukah story.

Chanukah Shabbat Dinner: Latke/Tater Tot- Who Has the Most Creative Topping?

Prize for the most creative topping: Spicy, Sweet or Savory

7:30 pm | In-Person

After services, we’ll have dinner including latkes and tater tots. This is where you come in – bring the most creative topping you can get your hands on for the latkes. Judging will be based on three categories: spicy, sweet or savory. And, you get to play judge too! Prize to the most creative topping! $8 per person, plus a side dish.
