🌳Beth Am Community Tu B'Shvat Seder | Sunday, February 1st | 11:15 AM | Beth Am Beit Midrash

Come participate in the Jewish mystical ritual of the Tu B’Shvat seder. On the eve of the birthday of the trees, we come together, to sing, to learn, and to eat symbolic fruits that connect us to our environment, our community, and ourselves. Congregants of all ages are invited to attend!

Join us for Klei Kodesh, Beth Am's instrumental Kabbalat Shabbat experience led Rabbi Daniel Burg, Rabbi Tyler Dratch, and the Uncle Ira's Hebrew Washboard Ensemble in the Beit Midrash! Dinner to follow services.

Join Beth Am at the Towson Hillel's third annual Jewish Community Night during the Towson Men's Basketball Game against Elon. Come cheer on the home team and showoff your Jewish pride! The special Jewish Community Night ticket includes an exclusive event t-shirt and access to Star K supervised concessions. We have limited tickets together.

Calling all Film Fanatics (and even just occasional movie-watchers):

The Film Fanatics will gather on Sunday, February 1st @ 1:00 PM at the home of Marcia Amith. We’ll watch Rob Reiner’s somewhat autobiographical movie, Stand By Me, enjoy movie treats, discuss the movie, and just kibitz a bit!

Whether you’re brand new to Hebrew, curious but unsure where to start, or an experienced reader looking to gain confidence or mentor others, this program offers flexible virtual lessons, personalized guidance, and accessible learning resources to fit busy schedules.

A visionary leader and one of history’s most influential, yet underrecognized, American Jewish women, Henrietta Szold left an indelible mark on the 20th century. This heartfelt documentary brings long overdue

recognition to Szold, a daughter of Baltimore, a graduate of Western High School, and the creator of Baltimore’s Russian Night School. The film offers a thought-provoking look at a woman who reshaped history through

compassion and an unwavering belief in the power of humanity.

Screening followed by discussion with director Abby Ginzberg, and Sally Levin, Henrietta’s grandniece, moderated by historian Barry Kessler.
