This Shabbat, I am incredibly honored to be celebrating my Installation as Rabbi of Tifereth Israel. It is fitting that our Torah portion begins with the word "Re'Eh," which means "to see." Over the next few chapters in the Torah Moses will be sharing his vision for the future with the Jewish people. As a leader, he understood the importance of having a shared vision as a community, and how that vision could help guide the Israelites on their journey towards the promised land.
This weekend, I will be taking my cue from Moses, and our Parasha. While I am looking forward to all of the festivities (especially getting to throw out the first pitch!), the part of the weekend that most excites me is the opportunity to share my vision, my hopes and dreams for Tifereth Israel, with all of you.
My family and I are incredibly honored to be a part of this community, as we work together to shape a vision that will help carry us into the future. We are excited to be on this journey with all of you, as we march toward our own promised lands.
