Shabbat Shalom
Still in Israel
February 12, 2016
The Week
Though I enjoy researching and writing these weekly Shabbat emails, today's will be limited in words as I'm still in Israel and have limited time on my computer.  The highlights of the week included the Chinese New Year's celebration as we enter the year of the Monkey; The Denver Bronco's triumph at the Superbowl with the halftime show gaining the most applauds; Trump and Sanders victorious wins in New Hampshire, while Christie and Carly surrender; And our own Detroiter, Ted Nugent's anti-semitic insults regarding gun control.

The Words
Carole King introduced us to her classic and beloved album, Tapestry 45 years ago this week.  In honor of those beautiful songs and lyrics, here are words, I hope, hold true for all of you:

"My life has been a tapestry of rich and royal hue
An everlasting vision of the ever-changing view
A wondrous, woven magic in bits of blue and gold
A tapestry to feel and see, impossible to hold."

The Pictures
As the saying goes, (moving) pictures speak louder than words and since this is my last Shabbat in Israel, I'd like to share this video that depicts the stunning view of our homeland.

Wishing you and your family a
Sweet Shabbat Shalom

Lisa
