IMPORTANT MESSAGE
Pikuach nefesh, the protection and preservation of life, is a fundamental value of Judaism and of B’nai Moshe. The current public health situation related to the Delta variant - its ease of transmission and its impact on both the vaccinated and unvaccinated, has driven the leadership of B’nai Moshe to make the prudent decision to implement a face mask requirement at the synagogue. Effective immediately, face masks are required for all persons attending congregational activities - religious services, meetings, and other in-person activities, regardless of vaccination status. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we navigate these difficult times.

When Is It Time To
Yell at God?
How many of you have felt like yelling up at God and saying:
“Hey God – isn’t it enough – pandemic, civil strife with people fighting over vaccines and masks, wildfires, hurricanes, the crisis of Afghanistan? Give us a break!!”
We are tired, we are frustrated, many of us feel like we are simply done with this pandemic. We want to be able to come into the synagogue and sit with our friends, schmooze in the halls, and celebrate the new year together. In short… we just want our lives back…
If you can relate to any of those feelings, you are not alone!
But perhaps that can help us really get into the realities of the High Holidays. Far too often we approach the holidays as simply a ritual to go through – like our ancestors in the days of the Temple… “Make the sacrifice and all will be forgiven.”
But this week’s parashah comes right before Rosh HaShanah to tell us “This is not about an empty ritual. This is VERY REAL and needs your full attention.”
As we stand together on the final Shabbat of 5781 we will join together to gain strength from our community, we will gain insight from our Torah, and we will gain energy to keep moving on from the love we can share.

Mazal Tov to Lisa & Dan Sperling, Heather & Steven Sperling and Marilynn (David z"l) Chatlin on the marriage of their daughter and grand-daughter Jenna to Nathan Reisenauer. The wedding took place in Colorado and our sources tell us the venue, the wedding, and, of course, the bride were beautiful. Mazal tov to the entire family!

Due to CDC recommendations, we are now requiring masks while in the building for both vaccinated and non-vaccinated individuals.
Additionally, we ask that when you walk into the sanctuary, you not sit directly in front of, behind, or next to anyone who does not reside in your household. Please be considerate that there are people who prefer keeping a safe distance.
We will still be streaming our services on Zoom and YouTube for those who will be participating from home. No one will be left behind.
