Shabbat Messages

Message from Lee Kirschner, President

Thank you to everyone for all you are doing to keep Har Zion moving forward as these are unprecedented times. Considering everything happening around us, community is more important than ever. We all care immensely for each other, and we are part of an amazing synagogue that is committed to all of us.

Every day during these difficult times, we are learning how to navigate the “new normal,” while dealing with the challenges of a global pandemic -- where social distancing is enforced to stop the spread; where schools, entertainment and community activities are shut down and families are under one roof nearly 24/7. There’s not even a restaurant open to help us take a break from the household routine.
I want to share a few words of how Har Zion is interacting within our community and how our members appreciate one another.

“Har Zion is doing a great job with all of the outreach to congregants for classes, information, food and assistance. It’s like a lifeline in these dire times.”

“I really look forward to the show each night...thanks for doing this at this difficult time...it's nice to have a community and to laugh with each other! Thank you so much!”

The above sentiments are from emails we have received during the past week. Your feedback is always welcome and very much appreciated. I can be reached at lkirschner@harziontemple.org . Keep ‘em coming! Shabbat Shalom!
