Meet Liat
Hi, I’m Liat! I was born in Israel, raised in Montreal, and now live in Toronto with my husband and our seven (very lively!) children. I’m passionate about creating warm, engaging Jewish communities for women at every stage of life.
Over the years, I’ve worked with Aish Toronto, NCSY, and Partners in Torah, and I’ve launched initiatives like The Toronto Sem and Souled — an online global community for Jewish women. Together with my husband, I also lead My Gift of Mikvah, a project dedicated to helping women deepen their connection to Jewish marriage and family life.
I truly believe in the power of Jewish women to shape families, transform communities, and build the Jewish future. I’m so excited to help bring vibrant, meaningful women’s programming to The Village Shul — created with you, and for you.
Please click HERE to contact Liat

We’ve listened to your feedback — and we’re thrilled to share that women’s learning and engagement at The Village Shul are expanding!
To lead this exciting new chapter, we’re delighted to welcome Liat Garelick, who will be spearheading women’s learning, connection, and engagement programs for our community. Whether you're a young professional, interested in advanced learning, or seeking meaningful Jewish experiences to bring into your home and relationships — there will be something here for you.

GET INVOLVED AT THE VILLAGE SHUL
Are you interested in supporting The Village Shul and making a difference?
We’re opening up new and existing committees and building a roster of volunteers to help continue all the amazing things the VS has to offer.
There are so many opportunities to choose from, and more hands make light work—so the more, the merrier! The more volunteers we have, the less each person needs to do to help keep VS thriving.
Joining a committee is also a great way to get to know the inner workings of the shul and see if a future seat on the board might be something you’d be interested in.
Click the link below to let us know where you’d like to get involved!
