MAZAL TOV
Mazal Tov to Moshe Bok & Sara Robbins on their Chasunah in Lakewood last night (Thursday night) in Lakewood, NJ! May they build a Bayis N’Eman B’Yisroel!
SELICHOS
We begin saying Selichos this Motzei Shabbos at 1245am. It will be preceded by words of inspiration by Rabbi Brander at 12:20am. The Neitz minyan will have their Selichos before davening at 5:40am. Please consult the flyer which has the Selichos times from now through Erev Yom Kippur. Please note that the minhag of LINK is not to put on Tallis or Tefillin until after Selichos.
LEGAL HOLIDAY SHIUR
We have the opportunity to hear a fascinating Shiur from Rabbi Yisroel Casen this Monday (Labor Day) at 9:45 am on the complicated issue of “Bentching Gomel” after an airplane flight. The shiur is preceded by Selichos/Shacharis at 8:05 and breakfast at 9:30am. See the flyer for more details.
MAZAL TOV
Mazal Tov to Dr. Miriam Greenberg on receiving the Core Pillarship Award in recognition of the many ways she strengthens and supports her community.
Dr. Miriam Greenberg became baalas teshuva in her fifties. She gave the seed money for LINK, the Los Angeles Intercommunity Kollel, and then became actively involved in building it, working with the Roshei Kollel to crystallize its vision. She also created TLC, Torah Learning for Collegiates, a program for college-age women. TLC has run for more than 20 years and helped launch hundreds of Torah families.
At 89, Miriam is still the person people want at their Shabbos table, still inspiring those around her.
