Do you have a question or concern you would like addressed by the Travis County Sheriff’s Department? We invite residents to submit their questions in advance of the upcoming Town Hall Meeting.

This is an opportunity to share your concerns, ask questions about public safety, discuss neighborhood concerns, and learn more about the services and resources available to our community.

Please submit your questions by November 1st, so they can be shared for consideration during the meeting.

Thank you for taking the time to participate and help strengthen communication between our residents and local law enforcement. We appreciate your involvement in keeping our community informed, connected, and safe.

🎃👻Happy Halloween! 🎃👻

Halloween is here, and we hope everyone is ready for a spooktacular weekend! Whether you're dressing up in your favorite costume, handing out treats, or taking the little ones trick-or-treating, we encourage everyone to enjoy the festivities while keeping our community safe and welcoming.

As we celebrate this fun-filled weekend, here are a few friendly reminders and safety tips for everyone.

Safety for Trick-or-Treaters🚨

  • Always have children accompanied by an adult.
  • Use sidewalks and designated crosswalks whenever possible.
  • Carry flashlights or glow sticks and wear reflective clothing to remain visible.
  • Remind children to look both ways before crossing streets.
  • Only visit homes with porch lights on and never enter a stranger's home.

Driver Safety Reminders🚨

  • Please drive slowly and remain extra alert during Halloween evening.
  • Be especially cautious in residential areas where children may be walking.
  • Avoid distractions and keep an eye out for pedestrians, especially around parked vehicles.
  • Remember that excited trick-or-treaters may move unexpectedly.

Candy & Costume Safety🍬

  • Inspect all candy and treats before allowing children to enjoy them.
  • Avoid costumes that are too long or could cause tripping.
  • Choose face paint or makeup instead of masks that may block vision.
  • Use battery-operated candles or LED lights instead of open flames in decorations.

Help Keep Our Community Safe & Beautiful🎃👻

  • Keep sidewalks and walkways clear of decorations and other obstacles.
  • Secure Halloween decorations so they do not become hazards during windy weather.
  • Keep pets secured and away from trick-or-treaters if they become anxious or overly excited.
  • Be mindful of noise levels and respect your neighbors.
  • Dispose of candy wrappers, decorations, and other trash properly to help keep our neighborhood clean.

Thank you for doing your part to keep our community safe, clean, and welcoming.

👻Wishing everyone a frightfully fun, treat-filled, and SAFE Halloween!👻

Amateur Radio (ham radio) is a popular hobby and service that brings people, electronics, and communication together. People use ham radio to talk across town, around the world, or even into space, all without the Internet or cell phones. It's fun, social, educational, and can be a lifeline during times of need. Whether you are an experienced licensed operator, studying for your first license, or simply curious about ham radio, everyone is welcome.

This club provides opportunities to learn and practice radio skills, build and experiment with equipment, improve operating techniques, and connect with fellow radio operators locally and around the world. Let's keep the spirit of radio communication alive for the next generation.
