Received a Violation Notice in Error? Let’s Communicate

If you receive a violation notice and believe it was sent in error, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Mistakes and misunderstandings can happen, and the best way to resolve them is through clear and timely communication.

What Should You Do?

If you believe a violation notice does not apply to your property:

  • Review the notice carefully to understand the concern that was identified.

  • Contact management as soon as possible with any questions or additional information.

  • Provide supporting details or photos if they help explain the situation.

  • Ask questions. If you are unsure why a notice was issued or what is expected, we are happy to clarify.

Communication Is Key

Our goal is not simply to send notices—it is to communicate with residents and work together toward a resolution.

A violation notice may not always tell the entire story. If something appears incorrect, circumstances have changed, or you believe there has been a misunderstanding, please let us know.

Open communication helps ensure that concerns are addressed accurately, fairly, and efficiently. We encourage residents to contact us rather than allowing questions or misunderstandings to go unresolved.

When in doubt, reach out!

Ask A Cop

This week's responses to your questions.

  • Can ebikes be ridden on the sidewalk or should they stay on the street?

If the motor wattage is less than 750 watts and the top assisted speed does not exceed 28 MPH, the vehicle is considered an electric bicycle under Section 664.001. Electric bicycles are generally regulated in the same manner as non-electric bicycles, and no driver’s license is required.

Therefore, a vehicle with a motor rated below 750 watts may be ridden on sidewalks unless prohibited by signage.

If the motor wattage is 750 watts or higher, or the top assisted speed exceeds 28 MPH, the vehicle no longer meets the definition of an electric bicycle. It would then meet the definition of a minimotorbike under Section 551.351. Accordingly, operation on a public highway would be prohibited under the provision addressing the operation of pocket bikes or minimotorbikes where prohibited.

  • Speeding at the corner of Amber Lynn and Rosebud Isle. It is very dangerous with a path crossing, children playing, and obviously it’s a neighborhood street. Can we please start whatever process to address this? I would hope to see speed limit signs (preferably ones that have radar in them to display the speed traveling), law enforcement presence and ticketing, then information on how to get a speed bump.

I often observe the end of Rosebud Isle in the 13500 block from 4:45 p.m. until 5:45 p.m., due to reports from the office. During that time, I observed 14 vehicles traveling from Shadowglen Trace. The highest speed observed was 26 mph.

I then moved to Shadowglen Trace and immediately stopped a vehicle traveling 47 mph. The violator was a resident of the area.

This area will continue to be monitored.

NEW CLUB - HAM RADIO ODYSSEY

Monday, October 12th

5 pm - 8 pm

Amenity Clubhouse

Amateur Radio (ham radio) is a popular hobby and service that brings people, electronics, and communication together. People use ham radio to talk across town, around the world, or even into space, all without the Internet or cell phones. It's fun, social, educational, and can be a lifeline during times of need. Whether you are an experienced licensed operator, studying for your first license, or simply curious about ham radio, everyone is welcome.

This club provides opportunities to learn and practice radio skills, build and experiment with equipment, improve operating techniques, and connect with fellow radio operators locally and around the world. Let's keep the spirit of radio communication alive for the next generation.
